Customs: Russia’s wheat exports fall 1% to 1.917 mln tns in Apr
MOSCOW, Jun 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports decreased 1% on the month to 1.917 million tonnes and 2% to U.S. $433.8 million in monetary terms in April, the Federal Customs Service said on Tuesday.
In January–April, wheat exports fell 34.7% on the year to 8.524 million tonnes and 19.5% to $1.901 billion.
Sunflower oil exports soared 31.9% to 984,100 tonnes worth $690.3 million in the period.
Russia’s wheat imports shrank 42.2% to 72,600 tonnes worth $16.91 million in January–April.
Corn imports decreased 18.9% to 25,100 tonnes worth $90 million.
